The Competence Centre on Climate Change Mitigation in Energy-Intensive Industries (KEI) has just released a short promotional film.
Those interested can now watch the film to find out more about the tasks, services and topics involving the KEI. Featuring impressive shots of industrial businesses, the film illuminates the challenges faced by energy-intensive industries on their journey to climate-neutral production. The Competence Centre supports these companies during this transformational process.
Employees highlight major points of focus
The promotional film also summarises the points of focus for the KEI’s work: funding, consulting and networking. While Dr. Kai Winkelmann, Team Coordinator Think Tank, emphasises the relevance of the decarbonisation of industry, Andreas Findeisen, Manager CDI coordination office, describes the role of the Cluster Decarbonising in Industries (CDI). Coordinated by the Competence Centre, the Cluster is an industry-neutral knowledge sharing platform that works with partner companies on innovative solutions for the transformation of industry. Robert Dünnwald, Team Coordinator Project Funding, wraps up the film by talking about the role of the KEI as a project management agency. On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), the Competence Centre uses a funding programme to support advanced methods for industrial greenhouse gas mitigation.
Deputy Director Dr Ricarda Tänzer-von Daake sums up the main objective for the Competence Centre: “We want to accelerate the transformation of manufacturing towards greenhouse gas neutrality.” This has resulted in the production of an interesting look at the many fields of activity engaged in by the KEI.
