Competence Centre on climate change mitigation in energy-intensive industries
The Competence Centre on climate change mitigation in energy-intensive industries (KEI) cooperates with the scientific community, advising and supporting energy-intensive industries in the reduction of greenhouse gases.
In addition to increasing energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies, production technologies in energy-intensive industries must be replaced to achieve climate neutrality in industries. The KEI supports companies in coping with this complex task by providing knowledge, driving progress and promoting change. The Competence Centre provides advise to policymakers on the strategic direction of the future funding and regulatory framework.
The KEI is located in Cottbus, Germany, a region of industrial change. From where, it ensures the transfer and sharing of knowledge with regional stakeholders.
